Installing Linux.

I've got some time to kill right now because I'm installing Linux on my other machine. I got so fed up with Mirosoft Windows that I stuck my spare hard drive in my winbox and I'm installing Linux on it. I've been running Windows 98 for a couple of years now with fairly constant problems, rating about 4-6 on the aggrevation scale. I had an older version of Internet Explorer and I just upgraded to 6 point whatever, that they have out now. After "upgrading" IE crashes on a regular basis. I'll start typing a URL into the location field and the screen goes black. How fucking sweet is that. Haha. I can't really go back to the old version. The only real option I have is to "upgrade" to Windows XP or some other shitty Microsoft product. I'm sick of it. If someone was willing to pay my bills and the development costs, I would devote my life to creating a new operating system that would make Windows its bitch. I've already got some interesting ideas on the basic nature of an OS and how it can be improved. The trouble is that hardware is constantly changing and it would be a pretty steep learning curve to get caught up with all the interfaces and protocols. Hmm, well... I still have hope for Linux.
