Ohio Electors.

I just wrote a letter (well an email anway) to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, asking her to join Rep. Conyers' obection to Ohio's electoral votes. It's the first time I've written someone in government for anything. Ever. Amazing how much my level of interest in politics has changed since George W. Bush was (sort of) elected president in 2000. Thanks Dubya!

Dear Senator Boxer,

I am writing to you today as a resident of California and a concerned citizen. I am concerned about the exceedingly large number of voting irregularities reported in Ohio this November. I'm sure you're aware that Representative John Conyers is spearheading an investigation into these reports. It has come to my attention that Rep. Conyers intends to object to the counting of the Ohio Electors on January 6th, based upon his findings. I humbly ask that you join him in this objection. The recent concerns raised about the electoral process have cast a dark shadow on our Democracy. It is critical (now more than ever) that we as a country lead by example, and with that in mind I believe we must admit and acknowledge the problems in the electoral system. By forcing the House of Representatives to elect our president, we will force these issues into the spotlight - which will greatly increase the likelihood that they can be addressed. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Erik Rivard
