Seriously?
It's a confusing blend of humor and sarcasm that found its way into the modern vernacular. We often make statements that touch on a bit of truth, but are really only meant to make people laugh. I'm left wondering how much was truth and how much was jest. It's a dangerous way to communicate, and yet I do it all the time. Seriously though, I was just kidding, those pants don't make you look fat.
